Helia Correia was born in Portugal and raised in Northern California. She obtained a bachelor of fine arts degree in film & television from The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where she was classically trained as an artist and filmmaker. There, she began to incorporate her love of storytelling into painting, collage and video projects. She began her career in unscripted and documentary television production while living in Los Angeles. Helia currently resides in New York City, where she continues to cultivate her creative identity through her love of art and storytelling.
